Description

Delightful Christmas Tree Cake Truffles made by transforming Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes into bite-sized, festive treats coated in white chocolate and decorated with sprinkles and red candy drizzle. Perfect for holiday parties and sweet gift ideas.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 box Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)
  • 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles

Coating and Decoration

  • 8 ounces white chocolate or candy melts
  • 3 tablespoons red candy melts for drizzling (optional)
  • Green sanding sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Unwrap and crumble: Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them into a large bowl. Use a handheld mixer to mix the cakes until a crumbly dough forms. Mix in the festive sprinkles evenly.
  2. Form balls: Using a tablespoon, scoop out the cake mixture and roll it between the palms of your hands to form balls. Place each ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat until all the dough is used.
  3. Melt white chocolate: Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl either in the microwave using short 30-second bursts or over a double boiler until smooth.
  4. Dip truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled cake ball into the melted white chocolate, coating it fully. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off before placing it back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Melt red candy melts: Melt the red candy melts in a piping bag or ziplock bag by microwaving in 30-second increments, massaging the bag between intervals until fully melted.
  6. Decorate and set: Snip the tip of the bag and drizzle the red candy melts over the white chocolate-coated truffles. Sprinkle green sanding sugar on top. Refrigerate for a few minutes to allow the coating to set. Enjoy your festive truffles!

Notes

  • Ensure cake balls are well chilled before dipping for easier coating.
  • If you don’t have a handheld mixer, you can crumble cakes using your hands or a fork.
  • Use candy melts as an alternative to white chocolate for easier melting and coating.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Adjust festive sprinkles and sanding sugar colors for different seasons or themes.
