Ingredients
Scale
Salmon and Seasoning
- 4 salmon fillets (5-8 oz. each)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine (optional)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season the salmon: Season both sides of the salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper to enhance the flavor before cooking.
- Pan-fry the salmon: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets and cook until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side depending on thickness. Remove excess oil from the pan, leaving enough to sauté the garlic.
- Add butter and baste: Melt the butter in the pan. Tilt the pan and spoon the melted butter over the salmon fillets to keep them moist and flavorful.
- Remove salmon and sauté garlic: Take salmon out of the pan and set aside. Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Deglaze with wine (optional): Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2 minutes until it evaporates, adding depth to the sauce.
- Add broth and cream: Reduce heat to medium-low. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Incorporate cheese and seasonings: Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until fully melted into the sauce. Season with chopped parsley, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Simmer the sauce: Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Reintroduce salmon: Return the salmon fillets to the pan. Simmer for a few minutes until the salmon is warmed through and well coated with sauce.
- Serve: Spoon the creamy garlic butter sauce over the salmon, garnish with extra parsley, and serve hot for a delicious meal.
Notes

- Marinate salmon in lemon juice for 15-30 minutes or drizzle lemon before serving to brighten flavors.
