Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 10-ounce package ravioli (fresh or frozen, thawed)
- 2/3 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or dried basil)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
- Cooking spray
- 1 cup marinara sauce (warmed, for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare the breading mixture: In a small bowl, combine the Italian seasoned bread crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning (or dried basil), and salt. Mix well to evenly distribute the flavors.
- Prepare the egg wash: In another shallow dish, lightly beat the two large eggs with a fork until smooth.
- Coat the ravioli: Dip each ravioli piece into the beaten eggs to coat completely, then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring each piece is well covered.
- Arrange in air fryer: Place the breaded ravioli in a single layer in the air fryer basket. It’s best to work in batches to avoid overcrowding and ensure even cooking.
- Apply cooking spray: Lightly spray the ravioli with cooking spray to promote browning and crispiness during air frying.
- Air fry the ravioli: Set the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and cook the ravioli for 6 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Remove the toasted ravioli carefully and serve warm with a side of warmed marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- To reheat leftover toasted ravioli in the oven, bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes.
- To reheat in the air fryer, warm at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 3-5 minutes until heated through.
- For extra crispiness, double dip the ravioli by repeating the egg and breadcrumb coating before air frying.
- You can use fresh or frozen ravioli; if using frozen, thaw before breading and air frying for best results.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake the ravioli at 400 degrees Fahrenheit in a single layer on a baking sheet for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
