Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 2 pounds dry roasted peanuts (two 16-ounce jars)
- 1 (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips (about 2 cups)
- 1 (4-ounce) German chocolate baking bar broken into pieces
- 1/2 cup peanut butter chips
- 48 ounces almond bark (two 24-ounce packages)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Add the dry roasted peanuts to the bottom of a large slow cooker. Sprinkle the semisweet chocolate chips, chopped German chocolate baking bar pieces, and peanut butter chips evenly on top of the peanuts. Then break the almond bark into chunks and spread it over the top.
- Slow Cook: Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on LOW heat for 2 hours without stirring, allowing all ingredients to melt and combine slowly.
- Mix Smooth: Carefully remove the lid and stir the mixture vigorously until smooth and fully combined, ensuring the chocolate and peanut butter chips are melted into a creamy texture.
- Shape Clusters: Using a rounded spoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper. If desired, decorate each cluster with sprinkles or crushed candy canes before the chocolate hardens.
- Cool and Set: Let the clusters cool at room temperature or chill them for about 1 hour until completely set and firm. Once set, store them in an airtight container.
Notes
- Storage: Store clusters in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 weeks or refrigerate for up to 1 month to maintain freshness.
- Freezing: These clusters freeze well in an airtight container for up to 2 months. Thaw them on the counter for 1-2 hours before serving.
- Add Mix-ins: For variety, mix in raisins, marshmallows, or pretzels near the end before shaping the clusters for added texture and flavor.
- Decorations: Enhance the festive appearance by topping with sprinkles or crushed candy canes before the clusters harden.
