Description

A refreshing and tropical Christmas Frozen Mango Margarita made with frozen mango chunks, tequila, lime juice, and sweetener, perfect for celebrating the holiday season with a fruity twist.

Ingredients

Scale

Frozen Mango Margarita

  • 1 lb frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 cup blanco (silver) tequila
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4 small limes)
  • 2 tablespoons guava jelly or agave syrup or honey or simple syrup (for sweetening, to taste)
  • Ice, as needed

For Serving

  • Tajín seasoning (for rimming the glasses, optional)
  • Sliced lime and/or fresh mango pieces (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the glasses: Sprinkle some Tajín seasoning onto a plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of two glasses and dip each glass into the seasoning, rolling on all sides until fully coated. Set the rimmed glasses aside while preparing the margarita.
  2. Blend the margarita: In a high-powered blender, combine the frozen mango chunks, blanco tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, and guava jelly (or your choice of sweetener). Blend until smooth and well combined.
  3. Adjust consistency and sweetness: Check the margarita's consistency and taste. If it's too thin, add ice to thicken. Add more sweetener to your preferred sweetness level and blend again if necessary.
  4. Serve: Pour the frozen mango margarita evenly into the two prepared glasses. Garnish with sliced lime or fresh mango pieces if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use a high-powered blender for the smoothest texture.
  • Adjust sweetness according to personal preference using guava jelly, agave, honey, or simple syrup.
  • If you prefer a thicker margarita, add more ice gradually and blend until desired consistency is reached.
  • Rimming the glass with Tajín adds a spicy, tangy kick but is optional.
  • Garnish with fresh fruit slices for an attractive presentation.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the frozen texture best.
