Description

Crispy and flavorful Garlic Parmesan Wings baked to perfection with a savory garlic butter sauce, fresh parsley, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. A perfect appetizer or main course for wing lovers.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Rub

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (optional)

Chicken Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat the oven to 400F (200C) and arrange a rack in the middle of the oven to ensure even cooking of the wings.
  2. Prepare Dry Rub: In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and optional baking powder, mixing thoroughly for an even spice blend.
  3. Coat Wings: Place the chicken wings in a baking dish, sprinkle the dry rub evenly over them, and toss to coat all wings well. Drizzle the olive oil over the wings and mix to ensure a light coating.
  4. Bake Wings: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 45 minutes until they are cooked through and starting to crisp.
  5. Make Garlic Parmesan Sauce: While the wings are baking, melt the butter in a small pot over low heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped parsley, stirring until the garlic becomes fragrant, then remove from heat.
  6. Coat with Sauce and Finish Baking: Remove the wings from the oven, pour the garlic butter sauce over them, and sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts and the wings become crispy and golden brown.

Notes

  • TO STORE: Transfer leftover wings into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days to maintain freshness.
  • TO FREEZE: Place leftover wings in a shallow container and freeze for up to 6 months for long-term storage.
  • TO REHEAT: Reheat wings in the oven or air fryer to preserve crispiness; avoid microwaving as it will make them soggy.
