Description

Delightfully simple and festive, these 3-Ingredient Holiday Cheese Truffles combine creamy herbed cheese with crunchy pistachios and sweet dried cranberries to create an elegant appetizer perfect for holiday gatherings. Ready in just 30 minutes, they offer a no-fuss way to impress your guests with vibrant flavors and beautiful presentation.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 13 ounces Alouette Garlic & Herbs Soft Spreadable Cheese (or herbed cream cheese or herbed goat cheese)
  • ⅓ cup roasted pistachios, finely chopped
  • ½ cup dried cranberries, finely chopped

Optional Garnish

  • Rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cheese Balls: Line a large plate with parchment paper. Using a 1-ounce cookie scoop (2 tablespoons), scoop out balls of cheese and place them on the prepared plate. Repeat until all cheese is used. Place the plate in the freezer for 20 minutes to firm up the cheese balls, making them easier to roll.
  2. Prepare Coatings: Place the chopped roasted pistachios on one small plate or shallow bowl, and the chopped dried cranberries on another separate plate or bowl.
  3. Roll Cheese Balls: Remove the cheese balls from the freezer. Using your hands, roll each scooped cheese portion into smooth round balls. Roll half of the balls in the chopped pistachios until fully coated, and roll the other half in the dried cranberries.
  4. Serve and Garnish: Arrange the coated truffles on a serving platter. Optionally, garnish around the platter with rosemary sprigs for a festive touch. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • Store truffles covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days to maintain freshness.
  • For a nut-free option, roll all the truffles in dried cranberries or explore other toppings suggested in the full recipe post.
  • To make this recipe dairy-free or vegan, substitute with your favorite spreadable dairy-free/vegan cheese, making sure it has a firm texture suitable for scooping and rolling.
