Description

Delight in the festive flavor of Chocolate Peppermint Grahams, featuring graham crackers dipped in creamy milk and white chocolate, topped with crushed peppermint candy canes for a perfect holiday treat that’s easy to make and irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Coating

  • 11 ounce package milk chocolate melted
  • 11 ounce package white chocolate melted

Other Ingredients

  • 4 peppermint candy canes crushed
  • 24 graham cracker squares or 12 full size crackers

Instructions

  1. Melt Milk Chocolate: Melt the milk chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl by heating it for 30 seconds, then stir and heat again at 30 second intervals, stirring between each until smooth, about a total of 90 seconds.
  2. Dip Graham Crackers in Milk Chocolate: Dip one end of each graham cracker square into the melted milk chocolate, then lay them out on parchment paper. Repeat until all crackers are coated on one end.
  3. Allow Milk Chocolate to Set: Let the dipped graham crackers sit until the milk chocolate hardens and sets completely.
  4. Melt White Chocolate: In the same manner as the milk chocolate, melt the white chocolate in the microwave by heating for 30 seconds, stirring, and repeating until smooth.
  5. Dip Other End in White Chocolate and Sprinkle: Dip the opposite end of each graham cracker into the white chocolate and immediately sprinkle crushed peppermint candy canes over the wet chocolate.
  6. Allow White Chocolate to Set: Place the graham crackers back on parchment paper and let the white chocolate set completely before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Ghirardelli candy melts work great as they require no tempering and taste fantastic.
  • To set the chocolate faster, refrigerate the dipped graham crackers for about 15 minutes.
  • Store finished grahams in an airtight container at room temperature, or refrigerate if you prefer them cold.
  • Crush candy canes by placing them in a plastic bag and gently pounding them with a rolling pin, a fun activity for kids.
  • Dark chocolate can be substituted for milk chocolate for a richer flavor.
  • Try using chocolate graham crackers, saltines, or Ritz crackers for different taste variations.
