Scale
Chocolate Coating
- 11 ounce package milk chocolate melted
- 11 ounce package white chocolate melted
Other Ingredients
- 4 peppermint candy canes crushed
- 24 graham cracker squares or 12 full size crackers
Instructions
- Melt Milk Chocolate: Melt the milk chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl by heating it for 30 seconds, then stir and heat again at 30 second intervals, stirring between each until smooth, about a total of 90 seconds.
- Dip Graham Crackers in Milk Chocolate: Dip one end of each graham cracker square into the melted milk chocolate, then lay them out on parchment paper. Repeat until all crackers are coated on one end.
- Allow Milk Chocolate to Set: Let the dipped graham crackers sit until the milk chocolate hardens and sets completely.
- Melt White Chocolate: In the same manner as the milk chocolate, melt the white chocolate in the microwave by heating for 30 seconds, stirring, and repeating until smooth.
- Dip Other End in White Chocolate and Sprinkle: Dip the opposite end of each graham cracker into the white chocolate and immediately sprinkle crushed peppermint candy canes over the wet chocolate.
- Allow White Chocolate to Set: Place the graham crackers back on parchment paper and let the white chocolate set completely before serving or storing.
Notes
- Ghirardelli candy melts work great as they require no tempering and taste fantastic.
- To set the chocolate faster, refrigerate the dipped graham crackers for about 15 minutes.
- Store finished grahams in an airtight container at room temperature, or refrigerate if you prefer them cold.
- Crush candy canes by placing them in a plastic bag and gently pounding them with a rolling pin, a fun activity for kids.
- Dark chocolate can be substituted for milk chocolate for a richer flavor.
- Try using chocolate graham crackers, saltines, or Ritz crackers for different taste variations.
