Scale
Main Ingredients
- 4 cups cubed fresh watermelon
- ⅓ cup fresh lime juice (approximately 3–4 limes)
- 4 sprigs fresh mint
- Soda water (to top up)
- Extra lime slices for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Watermelon: Cut the watermelon into cubes, discarding the rind and any white parts to ensure a sweet, pure flavor.
- Blend Mixture: Add the watermelon cubes and fresh lime juice to a blender and blend until smooth, using a tamper if necessary; work in batches if the blender is small.
- Strain Juice: Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any pulp for a smooth texture, then transfer the strained juice to a jug.
- Assemble Drinks: Fill glasses or a large pitcher with crushed ice. Pour the watermelon lime juice until halfway full, then top with soda water to fill the remaining space.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime slice, then serve immediately for the best refreshing taste.
Notes
- If you don’t have crushed ice, place ice cubes in a zip-lock bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
- Adjust the amount of lime juice to suit your taste; add more for extra tang or reduce slightly for a sweeter mocktail.
- For extra fizz, use chilled soda water and serve immediately.
- Fresh mint can be gently muddled to release more aroma if desired.
