A zesty and refreshing spicy dill pickle margarita combining tequila, dill pickle brine, and a touch of hot honey for a unique twist on the classic cocktail, topped with sparkling water and garnished with mini dill pickles.

- tajin, for the rim
- 1 tbsp hot honey (use to taste)
Cocktail
- 2 oz tequila
- 1 oz dill pickle brine
- 1 oz Cointreau
- 1/2 oz lime juice
- sparkling water, to top
- mini dill pickles, to garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the rim: Brush the rim of your cocktail glass with honey, then dip and roll it into 1-2 tablespoons of Tajin on a shallow plate, shaking off any excess.
- Mix the cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, dill pickle brine, Cointreau, lime juice, and hot honey. Add ice and shake vigorously until the mixture is cold.
- Serve the drink: Strain the cocktail mixture into the prepared glass, topping it with sparkling water for a refreshing finish.
- Garnish: Add mini dill pickles to the drink as a garnish to enhance the pickle flavor and visual appeal.
Notes
- To make hot honey, combine 1/2 cup honey, 1/4 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's), 1 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes in a small saucepan. Heat gently for 1-2 minutes until granules dissolve. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks at room temperature or longer in the fridge.
- Adjust the amount of hot honey to control the spiciness of the cocktail.
- Tajin can be substituted with chili powder mixed with salt for the rim if needed.
