Ingredients
Scale
Steak and Vegetables
- 1 ½ pounds ribeye steak - thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 yellow onion - thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper - thinly sliced
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Cheese and Buns
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 12 slider buns
Butter Topping
- 4 tablespoons salted butter - melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ tablespoon dried parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease or spray the baking pan or dish you'll be using for the sliders.
- Prepare ingredients: Thinly slice the ribeye steak, yellow onion, and green bell pepper. Set aside.
- Cook steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak, season with ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until the steak is browned and cooked through, then transfer to a bowl.
- Cook vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced green bell pepper and onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste, sauté until soft and fragrant, then remove from heat.
- Prepare slider buns: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the buns attached if in a pack. Place the bottom halves onto the greased baking sheet or dish.
- Assemble sliders: Evenly layer the cooked steak over the bottom buns, followed by the sautéed onions and peppers. Place provolone cheese slices on top, then cover with the top halves of the buns.
- Prepare butter topping: Melt the butter and mix in garlic powder, onion powder, and dried parsley. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the slider buns.
- Bake sliders: Cover the sliders with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and buns to get golden.
- Serve: Remove from oven and serve the sliders warm for the best flavor experience.
Notes
- Store leftover sliders in an airtight container or resealable bag in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- To reheat, preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and bake sliders for 15 minutes until warmed through. Alternatively, microwave for 30-60 seconds though buns may become soggy.
- Use ribeye steak for best flavor, but sirloin or flank steak thinly sliced can be substituted.
- You can add sliced mushrooms or jalapeños with the peppers and onions for extra flavor.
- If you prefer spicier sliders, add a pinch of cayenne pepper when seasoning the steak.
